No. Your first recording works instantly with no signup. We only ask for an account when you want to save recordings.
What happens after the 7-day trial?
Your card is charged at your selected rate — $99.99/yr or $9.99/mo. Cancel anytime from Settings > Billing before the trial ends and you won't be charged.
Is BarkScope a pet translator?
No. BarkScope is a bioacoustic measurement instrument. We show you real data — pitch, duration, tonality — and pair it with what peer-reviewed research says about similar acoustic profiles. No made-up phrases.
Does audio leave my device?
All analysis runs locally in your browser. Audio is saved to your account by default so you can play it back later — you can turn this off in Settings > Audio. Only numerical features are required for your journal.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. One click from your billing page. Your data stays accessible on the free tier (most recent 7 days) even after canceling.
